In a season filled with surprises and early-round upsets, the smaller teams eventually moved out to make room for the household names. For the second straight year, with the exception of Fidjos Terra, all of last year’ powerhouses are in the NELASA Final four.

On Saturday, October 11th, Fidjos Terra will play Strela Negra at 2 p.m., with Tabanka and Emigrantes meeting in the other semifinal at 4 p.m. Both games will be played at the PIC Park in Brockton, MA.

In the Quarterfinals defending champions Clube Tabanka defeated Nos Bandera 2-0 at Madison Park High School in Roxbury, MA. Strela Negra moves on after coming back from at two goal deficit to upset group A runner up Sporting 3-2. Group A winner Fidjos Terra returns to the payoffs with a 1-0 nail biter win over Dinamo. Group B winner Emigrantes hardly had to break sweat to see off Mindelo with 3-0 win.

The winners of Saturday’s match ups will play each other in the final, which will determine this year’s champions.
